نویسندگان
چکیده
Objective: To compare the length of hospital stay, duration chest tube drainage use, conversion to open thoracotomy and post-injury infections between Early VATS Late groups.
 Study Design: Cross-sectional comparative study.
Place Duration Study: Department surgery Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Rawalpindi Pakistan, from Oct 2020 till Sep 2022.
Methodology: Sixty-two patients undergoing VATs for acute injury were divided into two groups; early within first 5 days late after 5th day injury. Outcome variables compared groups drainage, infection rate. Numericaldata using independent sample T-test categorical Chi square test. A p-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
Results: In our study group had a significantly shorter lesser on ventilator, total as group. However, post requirement secondary rate similar in both groups. Moreover, lower group.
Conclusion: is associated with better clinical outcome.
